You act your lines. The app speaks everyone else.
Six little steps — that's the whole app.
Three doors — tap one. A text file is the fastest and safest. You can also paste the words, or give it the PDF from casting (even a photocopy — reading a scan takes a few minutes).
The ✏️ orange Editor button is on every screen. Fix any word, any time. Lines marked ✂ (stage directions, page numbers) are never read aloud — you don't need to delete anything. Tap Save and you are ready.
Each character gets a voice. The ✨ Studio AI voices sound the best and are free. Find YOUR character and check This is me — the app will never speak your lines. That part is yours.
The first time with a new script, the app makes every voice line once. It can take a few minutes — go grab a coffee ☕. You only wait once: the lines are saved on your device, so next time this script starts in seconds.
The app speaks the other characters. When a red line comes, it's your turn — act it! Then tap (or press Space) to continue. In Hands-Free mode you don't touch anything: a 5-4-3-2-🎬 countdown starts and the app follows you. The ⏸ Pause button lets you switch modes or change voices mid-scene.
Tap 💾 Save in the rehearsal bar. You get one small file with everything: the script, every voice, and who you are. Tomorrow, upload that file through the normal Upload button — and everything comes back exactly the same, ready to go.
When you upload a PDF script, it usually carries things you never rehearse: director's notes, scene headings, page numbers. The first time you upload it, the editor finds that junk for you and puts a scissors mark (✂) at the start of each junk line.
What does the scissors symbol mean?
Scissors mean: the app will skip this line. You do not have to delete that line — the app already knows, and it will never read it out loud.
Your only job is a quick look for small leftovers the app missed — a stray symbol, a lonely number, a bad punctuation mark. Delete those by hand, then press Save.
Did the scissors land on a real line by mistake? Easy rescue: remove just the scissors from that line, press Save, and the line comes back to life.
Use the editor as many times as you want: change something, press Save, done. Every Save also drops a clean copy of your script into your Downloads folder. Next time, upload that clean file and there is nothing to fix at all — you can keep it on your computer, phone, or tablet; just remember where you put it.
Cuando subes un guion en PDF, casi siempre trae cosas que nunca se ensayan: notas del director, encabezados de escena, números de página. La primera vez que lo subes, el editor encuentra esa basura por ti y pone una marca de tijeras (✂) al inicio de cada línea de basura.
¿Qué significa el símbolo de tijeras?
Tijeras significa: la aplicación va a saltarse esa línea. No tienes que borrarla — la aplicación ya lo sabe, y nunca la leerá en voz alta.
Tu único trabajo es dar un vistazo rápido por si quedó algo pequeño que la aplicación no vio — un símbolo suelto, un número solitario, un signo de puntuación mal puesto. Bórralos a mano y presiona Guardar.
¿Las tijeras cayeron por error en una línea real? Rescate fácil: quita solo las tijeras de esa línea, presiona Guardar, y la línea vuelve a la vida.
Usa el editor todas las veces que quieras: cambia algo, presiona Guardar, listo. Cada Guardar también deja una copia limpia de tu guion en tu carpeta de Descargas. La próxima vez, sube ese archivo limpio y no habrá nada que arreglar — puedes guardarlo en tu computadora, teléfono o tableta; solo recuerda dónde lo pusiste.
